About us

Paad Architects is a young architecture studio in Tehran. This studio seeks to invent new architectural potentials for living in negotiation with the difficult and distinguished conditions of contemporary Iran. We experiment with new assemblies of space objects and bodies to find unprecedented solutions. We constantly challenged spatial stereotypes among our projects since the studio's founding. and redefining the program and air conditioning boundaries. We believe that architecture to help the quality of life should help itself as a precondition. Typology in its formal meaning is the secret of this mutual solution. By creating new typologies, architecture can make possibilities for life that have been suppressed or remain potential. We question the boundaries of conditioning to transcend dominant topologies. So, we could create unprecedented possibilities for living in architecture by changing the paradigm of open/closed space and indoor/outdoor space. This practice can lead to programmatic changes and testing of alternative realities. We believe that the here and now cannot be out of contemporary conditions. The secret of finding innovative and unprecedented solutions is the dialectic of Iran's special conditions with the general and global knowledge of architecture which has been involved with the situation of new life at least since the beginning of the 20th century.
